Kitchens are one of my favourite spaces to organize because an efficient and functional kitchen makes the most significant impact on people’s daily lives.  That’s why I’m excited to share 10 of my favourite kitchen organizing products with you today!

These are my go-to kitchen organizing products that maximize space and increase function no matter the size of your kitchen.  The best part, they’re all budget-friendly!

1) Shelf Risers

I don’t think there’s a kitchen project I’ve worked on where I haven’t used shelf risers.  They instantly increase storage, visibility and accessibility, are super easy to add and remove as needed, and they’re budget-friendly.  What’s not to love?

Find them online, at home goods stores and the dollar store.  They start at $2.50 (from Dollarama) and go up from there, depending on size and material.

2) Bakeware Racks

For all the same reasons, bakeware racks are another kitchen organizing go-to.  The vertical storage they create increases visibility and accessibility for baking sheets, cutting boards, casserole dishes, serving trays, baking and muffin pans, cooling racks, pot lids, and so much more.

There are many options available, including a $3.50 one from the dollar store that works great for most purposes.  I also like this one from Youcopia that you can adjust to suit your needs.

3) Turntables

I love turntables!  They improve the function and accessibility of deep, awkward pantry corners and the hard-to-reach recessed sides of cabinets.

In standard cabinets, under the sink and even in the refrigerator, turntables work their magic by allowing you to see and access all your cooking oils, cans, jars, spices, containers and cleaning supplies with one easy spin.  No more shuffling everything around to get what you want!

4) Baskets and Containers.

Baskets and containers keep like items together AND separate from other types of items.  They also make retrieval and return of things easy and provide limits for the categories they’re holding.

And because different categories of items aren’t mixing, it’s faster and easier to keep track of what you have and what you’re running low on.  This reduces duplicate purchases and the amount of food expiring on your shelves.

Use baskets and containers to contain and store dry goods, snacks, tea, small appliances, appliance accessories and Tupperware lids, to name just a few.  You can find baskets and containers in all different sizes and finishes at the dollar store, any home store and online.

5) Drawer Inserts

Items just placed inside a drawer are going to shift around.  Corralling and containing are vital to keeping everything organized, visible and accessible.

You can use small baskets, drawer inserts, utensil trays, tension rods, old Tupperware or DIY your own with boxes from your home.  Various options are available online, at the dollar store and home goods stores.

6) Knife Holders

To keep counters clear, I like to store knives in a drawer.  To keep fingers and hands safe from blades, I prefer inserts designed for knives.

7) Labels

Labels are an easy system that lets everyone using a space find items in one quick glance.  They also make it more likely an item will be returned to its proper home, preventing the need to search for it in various locations next time you need it.

8) Tiered Risers

Just like shelf risers, tiered risers instantly increase visibility and accessibility.  Use them for canned goods, boxed goods, spices and bottles.

Prices vary according to size and material, and you can find them at any home store or online.

9) Command Hooks

The vertical space on the inside of cupboard doors is valuable storage space that Command Hooks are excellent at utilizing.

Use them to hang cleaning cloths, gloves, and scrubbing brushes under the sink.  Hang measuring spoons, mixer accessories, colanders, pot lids, cook and BBQ utensils or even your plastic wrap and foil on your cupboard doors.

10) Adjust Your Shelving

While not a product, many people don’t take advantage of their adjustable kitchen shelving.  This easy (and free!) tweak can really improve your kitchen’s storage and function.

For example, coffee mugs and plates don’t need as much space, so shelves above them can be lowered, making more room for taller items like water bottles, juice pitchers and vases.  Or remove a shelf in a lower cabinet to make room to store your cooking sheets vertically
